This practice is the result of many years in the practice of medicine and contemplating how it could be provided in a calmer, more caring, and complete way - “partnering” with patients to help them achieve and maintain health. </div> <div> <A HREF="mgf.htm" TARGET="_top" TITLE="Maria G. Flanders, ANP"><B>Maria G. Flanders, NP</B></A><B> </B> joined us in August, 2004. She brings expertise in Women's Health and general internal medicine. She also practices Reiki and is the owner of All Is One in Newport, RI, where she has recently added an alpha capsule for relaxation and energy balancing.</div> <div> <B>Renee M. Desrosiers, PA-C</B> sees patients with us on a part-time basis. A family practice physician assistant employed with OB/GYN Associates, she brings gynecology expertise as well as a general background in pediatrics and internal medicine.</div> <div> A tremendous asset to our women's health focus has been our association with <A HREF="allied_jlp.htm" TARGET="_top" TITLE="Allied Practitioners"><B>Jennifer L. Prouty , MSN</B></A><A HREF="allied_jlp.htm" TARGET="_top" TITLE="Allied Practitioners"><B>, RNC</B></A> of Midlife Health Connections in Mattapoisett, a nationally recognized menopause specialist. With her extensive experience in clinical gynecology, she is available for consultation , including perimenopause and hormonal imbalances, as well as individual psychotherapy at her Mattapoisett office at 74 County Road. Recently certified as a psychiatric nurse practitioner following her studies at Massachusetts General Hospital, she is the sole nurse member of that department. Her area of special interest is the psychological impact of hormonal change.</div> <div> Our <A HREF="services.htm" TARGET="_top" TITLE="Services">services</A>  include outpatient primary care (physical exams and follow up appointments), minor diagnostic and surgical procedures, minor cosmetic surgical procedures, acute care for illness and injury (same day appointments always available ), and coordination of <A HREF="alternative.htm" TARGET="_top" TITLE="Alternative Practices">alternative and complementary practices</A>. If you need inpatient care at any time, the board-certified cardiologists at Internal Medicine - Cardiology Associates of Fall River function as hospitalists for our patients at Charlton Memorial or St. Anne's Hospital. They will keep us apprised of your condition and provide a written report of the hospitalization upon your discharge so that we can resume your care.</div> <div> As a primary care practice, we are the common thread linking all ancillary services our patients may need. We have aligned ourselves with many specialists/professionals throughout the area and will refer you to those services as needed.
